[Locked: Hotel basement residents]

Toshiko! Told you I'd have toys for you to build. The first set is pretty simple: PANIC BUTTONS.

Great things. We used to use them all the time with Agency recruits.

Basically, something small enough to fit on a keychain (or a wrist device) with a locator beacon and a transmitter. Hopefully an unjammable transmitter. Hit the button and it sends an alert with the time and location to a central registry — my wrist device, your laptop, something we'll install in the Hotel Basement Lobby, whatever. Then someone notices the flashing red lights and comes running, hopefully with weapons and backup.

Should make people feel a bit safer going out of the hotel at night.

I'll start on that right away. Shouldn't take me too long, depending on what I can find lying around here. It's not nearly as organized as the artefacts in the Hub. It's a little hit and miss with the technology available here.

Well, if you need anything contemporary, let me know. My Torchwood cards still seem to work here, and Martha informs me that we're well-appointed as regards funds for necessary supplies. I can't promise the moon, but I can probably swindle wrangle you some lunar ore.

Absolutely. Obviously I can manage it with contemporary technology, it would just take longer to work out a transmitter that can't be jammed. Give me a day or two.

Do you? Honestly, that one was half the Doctor's doing. I know I would be able to reverse-engineer it; not after all his improvements. But Tosh might want to take a look. Have the two of you been introduced?
